HONG SOONMO

가나아트는 인간 내면의 원초적인 본질과 질박한 삶을 담아내는 조각가 홍순모(Hong Soonmo, b. 1949)의 개인전 《조형의 여정》을 2025년 2월 7일부터 3월 2일까지 평창동 가나아트센터 ‘Space 97’에서 개최한다. 가나아트에서 오랜만에 열리는 이번 개인전에서는 홍순모를 대표하는 독특한 질감의 1980년대 무안점토 인물 조각부터 재료의 특성을 그대로 살린 2000년대 초반의 석조 두상 그리고 최근 건축자재 테라코트를 사용하여 새롭게 매진하고 있는 부조 작업인 ‘드로잉’ 연작까지 홍순모의 조형 탐구의 여정을 보여주는 작품 40여점이 출품된다.

So Youn Lee

Gana Art is delighted to present "9", a solo exhibition by Los Angeles-based artist So Youn Lee (b. 1984). Lee’s diverse practice, which spans painting, sculpture, digital painting, 3D, and ceramics, metaphorically reflects her experiences and emotions as an outsider in a foreign land. After studying animation in South Korea, the artist relocated to the United States in 2008 to further her artistic career.

CHUN KWANG YOUNG

Gana Art is pleased to present a solo exhibition by Chun Kwang Young (b. 1944), titled 𝘈𝘨𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘨𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴: 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦, 𝘐𝘯-𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘯. This marks the artist’s first solo exhibition in Korea in six years. The exhibition brings together a comprehensive collection of works, including early abstract paintings, the 𝘓𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 series, and variations of his renowned 𝘈𝘨𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘨𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 series, including large-scale installations, and pieces from his 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 series.

Traces of Time, Echoes of Space

Traces of Time, Echoes of Space, a group exhibition organized by Gana Art, brings together renowned Korean artists whose work captures the interwoven nature of time and space through unique, personal visions. Featuring Quac Insik (1919-1988), Park Seo-Bo (1931-2023), Lee Ufan (b. 1936), Choi Jongtae (b. 1932), Chang Ucchin (1917-1990), Lee Sangguk (1947-2014) and Yoo YoungKuk (1916-2002), the exhibition offers a deep exploration of these artists' varied approaches to time and spatiality.
