ALEXANDER GUY
Gana Art is delighted to present JETSET, the first solo exhibition in Korea by Scottish painter Alexander Guy (b. 1962). Guy creates works he refers to as the “tacky realism” of modern life, driven by a genuine interest in connecting with real people and places. The title of this exhibition, JETSET, refers to wealthy individuals or famous celebrities who travel the world and enjoy a luxurious lifestyle. Guy focused on the rise of a new "JETSET" in the age of social media, where people showcase their curated lives and transform into virtual celebrities online.

MOON HYEONGTAE
Gana Art presents a solo exhibition by Moon Hyeongtae (b. 1976) titled Perfect Picture from September 13 to October 9, 2024, at the Gana Art Center in Pyeongchang-dong, Seoul. Moon Hyeongtae explores the essence of life by incorporating warm emotions and fairytale-like humor into ordinary and everyday subjects. He focuses on the various “relationships” humans form throughout their lives, capturing on canvas in his unique style the outcomes of experiences and thoughts accumulated along the trajectory of life. This exhibition, held two years after his 2022 solo exhibition CHOCKABLOCK, will feature over 60 new works.

KIM KULIM
가나아트는 한국 전위 예술 1세대이자, 한국 실험미술의 선구자로 불리는 김구림(Kim Kulim, b. 1936)의 개인전 《Yin and Yang》을 2024년 8월 30일부터 9월 22일까지 평창동 가나아트센터 ‘Space 97’에서 개최한다. 김구림은 회화와 판화, 조각, 설치미술을 비롯하여 퍼포먼스, 대지미술, 비디오아트, 메일아트 등 장르의 경계를 넘나들며 70여 년 동안 총체적 예술을 선보여 왔다. 이번 전시는 2021년 가나아트에서의 개인전 이후 3년 만에 열리는 전시로 그의 대표 연작인 30여 점이 공개되며, 2024년작 4점도 함께 선보인다.

SHIM MOON-SEUP
Gana Art is pleased to announce a solo exhibition by Shim Moon-seop, who has explored the essence of materiality and the circulation of time moving in and out of the boundaries of sculpture and painting. He not only formed the main trend of Korean contemporary sculpture in the 1970s by showing sculpture as an object that emphasized materiality but also sought a new direction for Korean contemporary art experimented with the relationship between objects and consciousness through abstract painting in which emotion and physicality coexist.

HO JAE KIM
Gana Art is delighted to present CASTAWAY, a solo exhibition by Ho Jae Kim (b. 1993), a Brooklyn-based artist. Kim, who was raised as a Korean immigrant in the United States and has since resided in New York City, has cultivated a body of work that delves into themes of "in-betweenness" and "borderlines."

고암 이응노 탄생 120주년 기념전 II
Gana Art and the Gana Foundation for Arts and Culture are pleased to present 𝘓𝘦𝘦 𝘜𝘯𝘨𝘯𝘰: 𝘗𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 as the second part of the exhibitions to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the birth of Lee Ungno (Pen name: Goam, 1904-1989). The first part of the exhibition featured Goam's works from the 1930s to the 1970s, including sketches, collages, and a series of 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, highlighting his journey in developing a unique abstract style.
