Gana Art is pleased to present Balancing, a solo exhibition by Chang Maria (b. 1981), from June 14 to July 7, 2024, at SPACE 97. Chang skillfully interprets the physical properties of materials and a vibrant palette to create her unique visual compositions. Through work that traverses the boundaries of traditional media such as painting and sculpture, Chang continues to expand her explorations of form through diverse materials. The exhibition will feature new pieces that followed her Permeation series as well as over thirty works from her acclaimed In Between–Spring series.

가나아트는 재료의 물성과 다채로운 색상을 독자적인 방식으로 해석하여 화면을 구성하는 장마리아(Maria Chang, b.1981-)의 개인전 《Balancing》을 6월 14일부터 7월 7일까지 평창동 가나아트센터 스페이스97에서 개최한다. 장마리아는 회화나 조각 같은 전통 매체의 경계를 넘나들며, 다양한 재료를 통한 조형의 탐구로 작업의 영역을 넓혀왔다. 이번 전시는 <Permeation> 연작 이후 탄생한 신작이 공개되며, 그의 대표작인 <In Between-Spring> 연작을 비롯한 작품 30여 점을 만나볼 수 있다.
