SHIM MOON-SEUP 심문섭 Interview

In the winter of 2021, Gana Art met the artist Shim Moon-seup, who was preparing for a recent exhibition, at his Tongyeong studio. From the story of his work in Tongyeong to his thoughts on sculpture and painting, it is a condensed glimpse into his 50 years of life as an artist. 2021년 겨울, 가나아트는 한창 전시 준비 중인 심문섭 작가를 그의 통영 스튜디오에서 만났다. 유년 시절 앞바다에서 자맥질하던 것처럼 그림 그리기에 흠뻑 빠져있다는 그에게 근간을 물었다. 통영에서 작업하는 이야기부터 조각과 회화에 대한 생각까지, 50년 화업 인생을 압축해 엿보았다.
